Data Network

A data network is usually the term which refers to the network that allows computers to exchange data such as documents or other files. What a network does is connects a number of computers together and allows them to share their files directly to each other.

Usually there are two different types of data networks. There's the private networks that are essentially a connection between a number of computers that are shared in a building, for example. Also, they are called local networks because of their self explanatory function. Besides, there's the other type of network, most common, which is used to connect its users to the internet.

In a company, both these networks are vital. That is because nowadays communication in companies is key and therefore, without having a private connection, in which files are safely and securily transferred, there would be risks of having leaks. Besides, companies need to be in contact with the outside networks, reffered as the internet, to maintain relations with clients.
